The genesis

The engineering education is at a critical crossroad today. With the mushrooming of engineering colleges in the last decade, engineering education is now within the reach of students from across the spectrum, from Tier 2 towns and the rural hinterlands. But this growth has also resulted in the lack of skilled & qualified engineering graduates. There is quantity but very little quality. There are a host of other issues like career expectations, understanding the industry, lack of penchant for innovation & research etc. All these issues need to be immediately addressed. There is an urgent need to redefine the engineering education paradigm.

Abhyaas iConnex is an effort to address the issues raised above through its various initiatives. We believe that a change is possible only when all the stake holders collaborate. We are glad to be building one such platform.

iConnex Finishing School: The finishing school offers short term courses to just-passed out graduates or students in their final year of graduation. The courses are designed to impart all the skills necessary for the industry with special emphasis on Problem Solving, Communication & Technology.

iConnex Technology Workshops: These short duration workshops (often of 2 days) are offered on the most trending technologies of the day that usually are not part of the regular academic curriculum. The workshops are aimed at providing deeper insights to the students on these technologies and inspire them to learn more & explore about such technologies.

iConnex Employability Assessment Test (iCEAT): The assessment test is to help industry (IT & Non-IT) pick the right talent, irrespective of the college they come from. The assessment primarily tests the problem-solving abilities of the students.

Industry-Academia Events: These events are organized regularly at various locations to facilitate an interaction between the best in the industry and the academia. Each event has a specific theme.
